you said that ” becomming muscular is not a function of eating, its a function of working out.” dont you “gain” muscle not while your working out, but during the recovery between workouts? and to do that you need to consume more calories?
sorry, im very confused i read somewhere that if you have too small calories your body will start taking glucos from your muscles.
also, if you dont have enough protein or other essential vitamens in building muscle the workout was pointless?
hey i got a question……if im on a diet and working out at the same time, will i even see a difference in weight or will the exercise make me “bulkier”. so in another words will i still gain weight but in muscle?

@mr8bally If you place on weight and you’re lifting,..a certain amount of that weight will be muscle weight, which generally results in added strength. Also, if you’re putting on weight, you’re generally doing less activity throughout the week. Most people who workout err on the side of overtraining. Doing less activity will allow you to rest and repair better between workouts. When you do this,..you’ll be stronger and more carbed up for your fewer but more intense training sessions.
@Njderig to me i still feel its impossible, ive been working out for the past 10 years and every time i gain more weight i can lift more, not sure why that is but it also applies to my friends as well, the heavier you are the more you should be able to life, thats whats happened to me
Hi Steve thanks for the video. When body starves body burns muscle first (not stout) to make energy it requires and stout will store for the future purpose. Thats how naturally body works,So how can a calorie deficient person build muscle?
@gehrett123 No. Peanut butter doesn’t cause muscles. The lifting does. If you don’t already know there’s also more fantastic info on my BlogTalkRadio show. Go there search & Steve Turano. The show can also be downloaded from iTunes. The most recent shows can also be heard on my website home page (at the bottom) once they upload. Tell a friend! ~Steve

I’m 6’2″ 285 lbs and delight in powerlifting. I eat roughly 3500-4000 calories a day as most of its food, and i drink a shake. My first priority is being strong but I also want to lose some bodyfat without losing ANY strength. I always hear powerlifters say you HAVE to eat much more calories and protein to get stronger and losing stout makes you lose some strength. Is it possible for me to lose some stout while still continuing to get stronger? Thanks in advance.

I weigh 225 pounds and my body burns about 2500 calories every day buy just resting. If I start a diet that contains about 2000 calories with about 130-150 grams of protein and I do weight lifting and jogging for about 20-30 min 3 times a week. Will I lose weight and build muscles?
