Hey Zak i’m a groundbreaking new dog owner and i’ve taught my dog to catch a frisbee but don’t know when i should start doing the carzy stuff like him jumping off my back and standing on my legs and stuff. Could you help me?
Hey Zak, how do I teach my dog to catch the frisbee? She is a 4 month ancient border collie and LIKES frisbee, so much so that I can use it as a reward for her which is awesome. She likes chasing the frisbee but I don’t know how to teach her how to take it in the air. Can you help? Thanks for the awesome vids, we are learning heaps!!
Hey Zak, I’m about to get a siberian husky, and I don’t know what brand of dog food I should buy. I heard that there are brands out there that are terrible for your dog, it would decrease the dog’s life span. Which brand would you prefer? Also is it better to use a lease when walking/training your dog or a harness? Thank you.
Hey Zack George! I have a 3 1/2 month ancient German shorthaired pointer that we have had now for nearly a week. We changed her food and place a collar on her and is now going crazy. She will spaz randomly about the collar, and its like she feels she can’t go when its on. Therefore, she just sits there all day and whines or sleeps. She won’t play, she won’t come with any encouragement. Could this be the change of food, or is this normal puppy behavior when they are getting used to a collar? HELP!
please someone tell me if anything’s incorrect with my dog. i have a male labrador and it keeps on following young girls like my sister and my cousin. he gets real excited when he see them, but he doesnt do the same thing when he see other people like me, my mom and even the person who’s closest to him, my dad! my brother says he must be too ‘horny’. so can anyone please tell me whats incorrect with my dog?
Hey Zak George. I have a question. i have a one year ancient Border Collie that is frightened of everthing. What should I do Zack George. PLEASE HELP ME. Thank You. Elizabeth
I just bought a 12 week ancient Teacup Yorkie from a breeder. I’ve heard that they can be very hard to train. If you can’t make a video (but I’m sure tons of people want to know), could you message me with some tips? I know to take him out first thing in the morning, before bed, and about thirty minutes after he eats, but everytime I place him on the ground (even inside), he starts trembling. I know it’s because he’s nervous, but he can’t hold it until he’s used to his new home!
hey whats up HOW DO I TEACH MY 6 MONTH ANCIENT SHIH TZU TO STOP PEEING AND POOPING HELPON MY FLOORING IN THEY HOUSE HE REFUSES TO USES TO GO OUTSIDE NE USE THE DOG PADS PLEASE
Hi there! So I just came across your videos now looking for help on getting my small one to walk on a leash.
I know I am a small late but I thought I would question anyways and hope that you might answer. We just got (A few months ago) a Fantastic Dane, he will be 1 at the end of the month. We have been having a lot of problems with him eating off the counters and table and out of the garbage. Do you have any suggestions to help with this? Thanks so much!
I’ll also just append on this comment, since I’m thinking about it that you don’t do too much with smaller breeds. For instance, as a practical matter, I’m not certain I could ever get my lhasa girl interested in a frisbee or a soccer ball because those are just too huge for her to mess with. Both border collies and pit bulls (those are the only breeds I’ve seen you work with on these videos) are larger breeds. But a lot of the physical work in luring is probably going to be more challenging…
for her as a reward, she just stares at me, like “Where’s my treat?” She does like to play, but only when she chooses, and that is not usually after she has done a trick. So, how do I get this stubborn and rather too-smart dog to listen to new stuff?
…and it devolved into “scratch Lauren’s arm while chewing on treat without even trying to balance.” I tried to teach her speak, and it turned into “ignore Lauren until treat is close enough to steal it.” The truth is that the only way we got her through basic training when she was a puppy was by taking her to a professional, and even he said that she was particularly hard. The one thing I can say for certain is that she is certainly NOT play motivated – any time I try tossing a toy…
I have a now-7 year ancient lhasa apso. Now, right now, I know she already has two strikes against her as far as training is concerned a) She’s a stubborn breed, and b) She’s an older dog. But, I’ve been trying to teach her some tricks over the summer while I’m back at home – we spend lots of time together whenever I’m home. But, she is the Tom Sawyer of dogs. Wants the treat, but never wants to do the work. I tried teaching her sit pretty…
i want to know how to leash train my puppy because when she is on the leash she alwyas bites and chews on the leash and doesn’t want to go anywhere while doing it
Hi Zak…I reckon your videos are fantastic!
My 4 month ancient Jack Russell hides her treats or bones and guards them. When she does this, she won’t let us approach or touch her. When I’ve tried going near her or try picking her up she growls and gets really agressive. I really want to stop this now…what do I do?
